Kenny Boynton and Casey Prather had no problems in crushing the Florida Tech in an exhibition match Thursday night.
Boynton, who has scored 71 points in his three-career exhibition games and is 14 of 23 from 3-point range, scored 24 points. On the other hand, Prather added 10 points and 10 rebounds leading to a comfortable victory, which is likely to improve the March Madness odds of the team.
Boynton was 10 of 15 from the field, including going 4 of 6 from 3-point range. He also had five rebounds.
Gators struggled throughout the match from 3-point range, making just 1 of 16. Boynton, who was the Gators' leading scorer last season with a 14.0 average, however ensured that the team records its 19th consecutive exhibition game.
Even though they disappointed numerous college basketball bettingfans, Florida Tech also had some positives out of the match. Justin Sedlak scored 14 points for Florida Tech. Julius Reid and Anthony Jackson scored 12 and 11 points, respectively.
The college basketball lines were always favoring the Gators, but no one thought the win would be that comfortable.
